The Q-collar is a conventional neckband designed to be worn during sports activities to mitigate the risk of brain injury. By exerting gentle pressure on the jugular veins responsible for draining blood from the brain to the heart, this device effectively enhances blood volume within the head. As a consequence, there is reduced movement, which aids athletes in minimizing the potential for brain damage following any impact on the head.
