Bill Russell used Twitter on February 12th, 2021, his 87th birthday, to reassure fans who had been lording over Brady’s and Jordan’s championship-ring libraries. He reassured everyone that he was an unmatched winner. He possesses more than he can hold in two hands — 11 rings.

As per Insider, Bill Russell is a 12-time All-Star who has led the NBA in rebounds five times. He is second only to Wilt Chamberlain in all-time rebounds per game. When incorporated with the above 11 rings, readers have a strong case for Bill Russell to be considered the GOAT.

According to Patriots.com, Bill Belichick packed his crew and took them to Providence in 2001 to watch a 45-minute documentary about Bill Russell. As a Celtics legend, the NBA Icon held immense respect among the Boston Sporting groups. As the film ended, Russell walked into the screening room. The whole place rose to extend tribute to one of Boston’s all-time greatest athletes.
