We all know about Bill Belichick’s powerhouse offense during the era of Tom Brady. The 7X Super Bowl champion led Belichick and the New England Patriots to six Super Bowls during his 20-season career in the franchise. The 4X MVP QB had quite an interesting offseason. After stating his intentions of following in the footsteps of Brett Favre, Rodgers signed with the New York Jets after playing his entire career for the Green Bay Packers. But there was another team who were interested in acquiring the abilities Rodgers had to deliver on the field. And it was the Patriots.

According to recent reports, the Patriots had tried to attempt a trade with the Packers for their legendary 39-year-old QB. Not only this, but they were also looking forward to offering more than what the Jets were offering for the QB. The Jets offered their No.13, 42, and 207 picks, along with a conditional 2024 second-round draft pick for Aaron Rodgers. In return, they acquired the QB, No.15, and 107 pick in the 2023 NFL draft from Green Bay. And the Patriots were reportedly willing to offer more than this!

Why did A-Rod decline Belichick’s offer?

Well, it’s been stated that when Rodgers’ camp heard of the offer from Belichick, they were not amused by the compensation being offered to Green Bay. Apart from this, Aaron Rodgers also had his sights set on playing with the Jets. Hence, he and his agent voided the trade from happening. This led to the QB signing with the Jets. And after joining his team, Rodgers has been enjoying his life in the Big Apple City. Apart from making a good impression on his new teammates during the OTAs, Aaron Rodgers is also seen taking part in various events happening around New York.
