Considering the massive fan following and major player rosters, it’s no surprise that 26 NFL teams have made the Forbes “THE WORLD’S MOST VALUABLE SPORTS TEAMS 2020” list.
Jerry Jones-owned Dallas Cowboys top the list with an overall valuation of $5.5 billion. The American businessman purchased the franchise back in 1989 for $150 million. Even with their substantial financial might, it has been a while since the Cowboys made the Super Bowl. They last appeared in the world’s most-watched sporting event on January 28, 1996. It will be interesting to speculate over how Jerry Jones did not splash the cash to tie down Dak Prescott for a long-term contract, despite having the massive checkbook.

New England Patriots are the second highest-earning NFL team on this list (seventh overall). Tom Brady’s exit has left the Robert Kraft-owned franchise in a state of uncertainty. With Head Coach Bill Belichick and Brady in New England, the Patriots won six Super Bowls over the last two decades. It will be interesting to see how they adapt to Brady’s exit in 2020. The New York Giants, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and even the Washington Football Team made the Forbes list.
