Deshaun Watson will wear the orange jersey for the first time in his career, bagging a five-year, $230 million contract this offseason. He missed more than 700+ days of football getting involved in his off-field discrepancies.

Meanwhile, the Browns legend Bernie Kosar recently spoke his mind about the future of the franchise under Watson and his first game. He mentioned that he was worried about the pace of the contest.

“The speed of the game, I’m worried about Deshaun not playing the 700 days, how quickly you’re able to get the field for the pass rush, so the timing when to let the balls go and stuff so this is the type of game,” Kosar said during a recent interview. The veteran showered some light on the Browns’ preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It was not an ideal atmosphere because the fans were hostile toward him. And the way it is going to happen won’t be a pleasant experience. “Deshaun how he played one game in 700 days and preseason one quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that was almost a precursor to what I think we’re gonna see on away stadiums,” Kosar added before hinting at a rusty game on Sunday.

Soon, the league slapped him with an 11-game suspension and asked him to pay a hefty fine of $5 million. Well, the dust has finally settled, and the passer vowed to focus on the game. “My biggest focus was the mental part,” Watson said on his preparedness. “Staying locked in on defensive schemes and staying locked in on the scheme we have here. Just following Jacoby (Brissett), asking him questions, preparing like I was the starter that week,” he added. Regardless of whatever has happened in the past, it will be interesting to see whether Watson will play like the same quarterback who recorded 33 touchdowns in a single season.
