From running training routes in LSU to playing in the Super Bowl, the duo of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase have come a long way together. In the past regular season, the quarterback and wide receiver have become one of the best in the league. With brilliant chemistry, they both are unstoppable. Chase and Burrow are an NFL defense’s worst nightmare.  

The duo playing together for years will definitely be a big factor in the big game on Sunday. Bengals wide receiver coach Troy Walters believes that they almost have a telepathic connection. One knows exactly where the other will be.

Troy Walters talks about the bond between Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase have played together for three seasons. The first two were at LSU, where the duo turned a lot of heads. This is their third season together and the first one together in the NFL. The connection between the quarterback and the wide receiver has become the backbone of the Cincinnati Bengals attack. When you combine all three seasons, the duo has made 37 touchdowns. And completed 206 catches for 3,801 yards. 

Chemistry like this is not seen on the field every day. Bengals wide receivers coach Troy Walters says that the understanding between Burrow and Chase is impeccable.

Walters said“They came into this thing being on the same page understanding each other.” He adds, “Joe knows exactly what Ja’Marr is going to do in terms of his release, where to throw the ball. Ja’Marr understands where Joe is going to put the ball. It’s just uncanny.” It is true. Even the fans are left in awe when they see Burrow and Chase make plays.

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase want to master their art. They want to be perfect in every single way. So whenever they feel something is lacking, they will try to fix it.

“The one thing about it, if Joe doesn’t feel good about it going into a game, then we’re not going to call it,” Said Troy Walters. Three days before the AFC wild-card game, something was not quite right. Chase and Burrow stayed after practice and did some extra reps. They wanted to work on their timing and be precise. The hard work paid off. We all know how impressive they were in the game. The Bengals defeated the Raiders with a score of 26-19 and won the wild-card round.
