Before Setting Footprints on Modeling, Gisele Bündchen Aspired to Make a Mark in These Fields

Gisele Bündchen has had quite the year. From returning to the modeling scene, to announcing her big divorce, she has survived a roller coaster of a year. The Brazilian supermodel has been vocal about expressing her sacrifices towards her career in the past. Her sacrifices enabled her ex-husband Tom Brady to flourish at his. Now that Gisele isn’t bound by her marriage, her fans will be most happy to see her back in action as she will take center stage.

However, in a revelation made by the Brazilian in her book ‘Lessons’, she spoke about possible alternative careers for her. The outcome of one of the possible careers she had listed could have had quite an impact on her life. 

Alternate career option for Gisele Bündchen

Gisele Bündchen grew up in Brazil in quite a different way than she enjoys currently. Growing up in a rural small town in Brazil with 5 sisters wasn’t as glamorous as living in one of the several luxurious properties she associates herself with. With making a name for herself and financial security as her priority, Bundchen was always on top of her things.

She was a dreamer from a young age. Gisele can definitely claim to have lived ‘The American Dream’. In her book, she revealed how she took to modeling as her way out of the life she was living. Having the height for it at 5 feet 9inches, her mother enrolled her in a modeling school early on and the rest has been history.

While modeling may have been her path to fame and the majority of what she is today, she revealed that she had other plans for her career originally. Bündchen was a volleyball player growing up and was pretty good at it. Spiking a volleyball on the beaches would have been an ideal thing for her to do and could have possibly become her bread earner. Fortunately for her, she got a modeling opportunity she couldn’t deny. She is spotted spiking the ball around on her vacations even today, as she enjoys her time at the beach.

What if….

The environment enthusiast also said she wanted to be a veterinarian at some point in her journey. Though this would have been more sustainable than her volleyball profession, Gisele must be thanking her stars for how things have turned out for her.

Gisele has been one of the highest-paid models and has racked up millions of dollars through her illustrious modeling career. Had she picked either of her other options, she might not have been sitting on the wealth she is today. She even wouldn’t have met Tom Brady, which could have saved her a divorce. Moreover, if she hadn’t picked modeling, the world would have been devoid of Gisele Bündchen.
