Aaron Rodgers is a fan favorite in the NFL world. After being drafted as a 24th Overall pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2005, the QB has gone on to solidify his position as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Coming as the heir to Brett Favre’s legacy, Rodgers has led the Packers to Super Bowl glory in Super Bowl XLV, while becoming a four-time MVP in the league.

But despite all the accolades in his professional career, Rodgers has not been successful in maintaining a lifestyle that another fan-favorite QB, Patrick Mahomes, enjoys in his life. And that is having a strong personal bond with his family. From calling off his marriage with Hollywood actress Shailene Woodley to family feuds, A-Rod would hope for more clarity regarding building personal emotional connections. But for the 39-year-old, not being in touch with his family might be one of the most difficult hurdles he has to face in his life. And it seems like the family needs to put in some work in order to create a meaningful connection.

The QB, who recently signed with the New York Jets, is known to be vocal about his perspectives in life. While growing up with his family, Rodgers was raised a Christian. But time exposed him to different religions through his friends. This was the start of A-Rod questioning the basis of religion, which might have been the initial start of a sour relationship with his family.

An article written by Jaclyn Hendricks for the New York Post talks about how the 4X MVP QB was open about his stressed relationship with his family. Speaking on the Aubrey Marcus podcast, he said that there’s “no bitterness” in his heart despite not being in touch with his family and brothers for years. Talking about the possibility of reconciling in the future, Rodgers said that he believes in the concept of healing, but admits that “it’s a different journey” for all of them. He said, “To judge on the outside about what should be and what it should look like, or who’s wrong or who’s right, is just a game I’ve never wanted to play and still don’t want to play.”

Aaron Rodgers’ younger brother Jordan Rodgers also tried his luck in the NFL as QB. But A-Rod’s meteoric rise led to overshadowing his younger brother’s career, who retired after a short stint. And even the brothers have a feud whose reasons have not yet been disclosed publicly.

The estranged relationship between Aaron Rodgers and his brother came into public light after JoJo Fletcher’s 2016 season of The Bachelorette. Before taking Fletcher home to meet his family, Jordan Rodgers opened up about the family drama related to their brother. He said. “My middle brother won’t be there, Aaron. Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke. Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship. It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life and I’ve chosen to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother.” A-Rod revealed that he found it “a little bit inappropriate” for his younger brother to talk about family issues publicly. A-Rod was even missing in attendance when Jordan and Fletcher tied the knot in May 2022.
