For most NFL fans, Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce would make the top 5 tight ends in the league for the past decade. Both the NFL icons have already had a career which is a shoe-in for a Hall-of-fame induction two times over. While they never played together, they have both shown a lot of respect for each other’s craft. On Monday, both of them surprised the fans with a collaboration.

Gronkowski joined Travis and Jason Kelce on their podcast, ‘New Heights’, talking about their career, future, and a ‘d*ckhead’ Tom Brady.

While Gronk was talking about his great rookie season with the New England Patriots, he was asked for his first impressions on TB12. For those who have seen the chemistry between the TE and QB. What the 33-year-old thought of Tom at first would come as a surprise.

Tom Brady was nothing like Jamie Foxx

The ever-hilarious Gronkowski did not shy away from revealing his true thoughts on working with the GOAT. For the rookie TE, the QB was quite a handful in the training. “I mean, at first I thought he was out-of-control man. I was like this dude crazy, like a d*ckhead.” Gronk revealed.

For the 42nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Brady was nothing like Jamie Foxx in the Warner Bros. production, ‘Any Given Sunday’. To Gronks’ disappointment, who had different ideas for a career in the NFL after watching the movie, it was not the case. Instead, in his earlier years, TB12 was more like a coach to him than his ‘buddy’ or teammate. “This is this isn’t anything like any given Sunday. This guy’s f*cking yelling at me. I mess up just a tad bit. He’s yelling at me more.”

He even remembers the threat given by his QB over a route running. “He would be calling me in the meetings. ‘This is how I want you to run the route’. Gronk added. “He goes ‘get outside of the guy when you run a corner. If you go inside, guess what? I’m never throwing you the ball.'”

Fortunately for Gronk, he had everything down by the second season, in large part because of Tom. They would later form one of the most prolific duos in the history of the NFL. The TE amassed more than 105 total career TDs catches. 92 of those passes came from Brady himself. The duo also has the record for the most passes for a TD (15) in playoffs as well.
