Most of us have experienced it. We know what it’s like to have a relationship (or a friendship) with a person who doesn’t have a single sports bone in their body. In most cases, it leads to awkward silence when we talk about sports – but not in the case of this TikTok queen.
For Ambler resident Katy Kahn, this weird relationship was her claim to fame.

CBS news recently reached out to Katy, after her TikTok blew up, garnering over 4.5 million likes. Katy’s husband loves sports, and she does not have the faintest clue. “There are so many people out there in partnerships where one person loves sports, and the other is forced to listen to them talk about sports”?Kahn says in the interview.
This led to her creating a rather viral video about Pickup basketball, which apparently – she had no clue about. This video went crazy on TikTok, amassing over 3 million views. However, her take on it was really funny, and grabbed the attention of basketball teams around the country. These teams would get in touch with Kahn, and ask her to perform a team analysis on her TikTok page.
However, as you’d have figured by now, she’s not an everyday sports analysis or expert, by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, she had little to no exposure to sports, other than her husband’s ramblings. Too little exposure that she hadn’t played these games when she was growing up. “I have no athletic bones in my body”?Katy reveals.

Husband the Source of Inspiration
She reveals she started getting into sports because of her husband. She let everyone know that her husband leaves juicy tidbits out for her to learn more, and that got her into creating videos. “It has opened me up to the fact that I am obsessed with other people’s interest with it”?The School teacher reveals. “And the drama goes on. My Husband knows how to get my attention. He’ll be like, ‘Did you hear about this person who tweeted this out?’ And I’ll be like, ‘Oh yes, give me all the details.'”
She does have a very controversial take on sports, which I’m sure not all sports fans would agree though. “I wish that all games would end in a tie, so everyone would be happy.”
