Tom Brady is certainly the most influential quarterback in the NFL all time. So much so that younger generation athletes look up to his legacy and try to emulate it. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown wants the same for his quarterback Lamar Jackson.
After spending over two years with Lamar, Hollywood has recognised what the quarterback is capable of doing. Brown knows Lamar has some admiring abilities that deserve him – not one, not two, but seven Super Bowls, just like Tom Brady. But is he good enough to fill the shoes of the all time NFL icon?
Well judging by his early campaigns in his career, he most certainly has shown some commendable displays. With just his fourth year in the NFL so far, Lamar Jackson has made a name out of himself effortlessly. And his respectable resume is the proof of it as well.

Most of his achievements as a professional football player have been because of his extremely successful 2019 season. That season was his second season in the NFL as a pro footballer. But his stats show that even in his rookie form, he can break many records and can easily emulate Tom Brady in his prime.

Lamar Jackson won the NFL MVP that year unanimously, making it to the First Team All-Pro, the Pro Bowl as an NFL passing touchdowns leader with an emphatic record of 36 TDs. He also broke a series of records that year, including:
- Most single-season rushing yards by a quarterback: 1,206
- Most single-season rushing attempts by a quarterback: 176
- Most 1,000-yard rushing seasons by a quarterback: 2 (2019, 2020)
- Most games with a perfect passer rating in the same season (tied with Ben Roethlisberger): 2
Furthermore, keeping in mind his prime rookie form in mind, we can judge that the Ravens quarterback most certainly has the courage and the ability to match The Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar Tom Brady. However, that can only happen if Jackson could focus more on his longevity. As he has been struggling from keeping himself healthy more than once this season.
