The Panthers made a long shot after bringing Baker Mayfield to Carolina. However, it is not paying off well. The franchise did not see a glorious rise in the game. Despite their efforts, the Cardiac Cats are coming off a massive loss against the Ravens. With the setbacks, Baker Mayfield does not look happy with his performance. The QB1 also showed positive signs of maturity in the game.

Carolina Panthers faced yet another setback against a blazing franchise, the Baltimore Ravens. The QB1 starting the game did not deliver a positive impact. After the 13-3 loss, Baker Mayfield expressed his frustration at being asked if he should continue as the starter following the results. He is certainly not happy with the output and his progress in the game.

 

As per ESPN, Baker Mayfield mentioned, “Not good enough. We didn’t win the game. I say take care of the ball, but we have to make more plays. Batted balls, when they’re not getting the rush. … Shi [Smith] and I have to be on the same page… He’s looking at Marlon Humphrey out there in the flat, and I’m expecting him to go out to the flat. You know, [Humphrey] is playing smart, and I’m expecting him to run his routes. That’s just being on the same page. It cost us. It cost us, unfortunately.”

Baker Mayfield’s maturity has remained a hot topic, especially when the Browns deemed him as childish one. It could look like a positive transition.

With the latest loss, the Panthers are 3-8 and are on the verge of getting out of the playoffs. Moreover, with the Broncos game approaching, It is yet to see what resolution interim HC Steve Wilks undertakes.

Baker Mayfield looked drastically bleak after the Sunday loss. But during the game against the Falcons, the QB1 looked remarkably thrilled. Carolina made a massive leap over Atlanta. Mayfield was not in the game, but he was fired up after the franchise picked up the win. After the game, he made a move that looked bizarre.

Baker Mayfield leaped into the turf to celebrate Carolina’s win over its NFC South rival. He head-butted a few of his team members wearing helmets while wearing only a baseball cap. As Al Michaels said, it could be the most glaring process of getting into the concussion protocol without making a snap.

Mayfield was inevitably happy after the win. But hopefully, he does not make it a tradition.
