Every quarterback in football starts hoping to edge their name in the history books. Baker Mayfield is no different. He wants to make records with his ability too. But the record he made, we’re sure no quarterback wants on their resume.

If you make an NFL record, your name will be mentioned in the same breath as the greatest players in history. Just ask Tom Brady. He has more records than he can remember. However, there are some types of records that nobody wants to be associated with. Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield, he has achieved one such feat.

Baker Mayfield did not have the greatest season with the Browns this year. The AFC North rivalry match against the Pittsburgh Steelers was a shining example. Mayfield struggled throughout the game. He was not able to make any plays. Being sacked for a total of nine times might have frustrated the quarterback as well. But the record he achieved was not for being sacked multiple times in a single game. It was something else.

During the Week 17 game, the Browns were fighting for a place in the playoffs. For that, it was an important game for them to win. Cleveland depended on their quarterback Baker Mayfield, but when the time came, he failed to deliver. Baker has not been 100% recently after dealing with some shoulder injuries. He needs to tend to the shoulder of his non-throwing arm. It could be the reason Mayfield has been able to achieve an unwanted record. The Brown lost with a score of 14-26.

This is it for the Cleveland Browns for the season. Hopefully, next year their quarterback Baker Mayfield is completely healed. The fans hope he actually makes some useful records next year so they can forget about this unwanted achievement. With a record of 7 wins and 9 losses, the Browns end this season at the bottom of the AFC North table.
