Tom Brady is well-liked all throughout the globe. Many who grew up in New England and saw him compete for most of his professional football career have a unique fondness for him. Captain America himself, Chris Evans, is some of the high-profile enthusiasts. However, he was having trouble navigating the emotions triggered by Brady endorsing someone he loathes. He also has a major ‘If’ over him characterizing him as the GOAT of the NFL.

He turns his passion for the New England Patriots into a trademark, promoting them loads of times, traveling out and seeing them at the 2017 Super Bowl, and sometimes even placing odds on their matches to solicit donations. He has a penchant for the Patriots, just like he has a flair for Hollywood.

Chris Evans shares concerns over Tom Brady-Donald Trump Bond

Chris Evans spoke to The Hollywood Report back in 2019 over various topics. Trump, Tom Brady, anxiety, and even those retirement rumors were all mentioned. When THR asks if the possibility of embodying Brady in a dramatization might entice him to come out of non-retirement, he reflects in a downcast manner.

He mentions, “I really hope he’s not a Trump supporter. I’m just hoping he’s one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it. Maybe he thought it was going to be different – and even that bothers me – but maybe there’s a chance now he just thinks Trump’s an absolute dumb s***, which he is. If he doesn’t, if he’s still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It’s really tough.”

Tom Brady has worked his way to remain independent from political concerns since Trump was elected, and he has only sporadic relationships with Trump. Brady also missed the Pats’ tour to the White House following their Super Bowl victory in 2017, citing “family matters” as the explanation.

Meanwhile, during the Bucs’ White House trip in 2021, the quarterback appeared to make a remark mocking Mr. Trump. While this may come as a shock to fans who are aware of the depth of their bond. Brady’s restrictive diet program is among the reasons which disrupted their bond. Yet, this also opens any chance for Evans to be cast in a film showcasing Brady’s journey. Even if he isn’t in the Pats, Chris Evans may continue to be the GOAT’s biggest supporter as well.
