“Attacked Every Week”: Brittany Mahomes First Broke Her Silence Against Hate From Non-chiefs Fans After the Champagne Incident Made Her the Biggest Villain in the NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs won against the Buffalo Bills in the 2021 AFC divisional round. Fans saw some last-minute heroics from their favorite Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. When the leading passer celebrated his win, his wife, Brittany Mahomes, had to save herself from the shower of criticism that followed her for weeks.

The Kansas City Chiefs scored 42-36 against the Bills. The audience rose in excitement to celebrate the win of their favorite team. In the frenzy, Brittany Mahomes did something that the fans resented. In a video that she posted on Twitter, she wore a yellow coat. Also, as excited as she was, she held a bottle of bubbly champagne. Brittany Mahomes, who shares a daughter with Patrick Mahomes, uncorked the champagne bottle.

Then she sprayed the fans with booze from the suite of Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium. Many people criticized her for her jubilant actions. As the criticisms went too far to handle, Mrs. Matthews posted a Tweet that said: “I just wish I could do what I want without getting attacked every week.”
