For the past few weeks, Russell Wilson has been receiving several criticisms across the NFL world. Even the veterans of the sport couldn’t believe watching the former Super Bowl Champion struggling to get back on track. Recently, Richard Sherman was on the line of critics, but his former teammate Marshawn Lynch had a couple of kind words during the hard times.

Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, and Marshawn Lynch were part of the same championship team that won the Super Bowl XLVIII. And that was the last time Wilson lifted the Lombardi trophy. The hunt for a second title is still going on.
But Sherman was afraid that the passer can’t get to the mark with such poor performance since the 2022 season kick-start. In the Week 5 game against the Colts, a low-scoring thriller, there were several chances for the Broncos passer to pull out the game toward his side, but he couldn’t. Instead, he threw an interception, driving the opposition back to the game.
Sherman was clearly unhappy with the play and was getting flashbacks of the Super Bowl XLIX in the TNF broadcast for Amazon. Sherman and Co lost a winning game with the passer throwing for an interception in the final minutes.
The former cornerback recalled the moments and asked Wilson to learn from the mistakes. “On the final play, you gotta run the ball again,” Sherman said during Amazon’s post-game show.
“I wish I had Marshawn [Lynch] up here. Like, one yard! You need one yard! Run the ball! Run the ball! … learn from your mistakes!” he added. Meanwhile, the former Running Back Marshawn Lynch recently appeared on a podcast, graciously hailing the passer to realize what he actually was.
How did Marshawn Lynch react to Russell Wilson and his current struggling season?
While critics were pointing out Wilson’s failure, Lynch was all in praising the new franchise quarterback of Denver. “I just want to tap in with him and make sure that, you feel me though, that dog is solid though,” Lynch said on the podcast.

“Don’t let that [stuff] overshadow you, because at the end of the day, bro, you’re still a Super Bowl quarterback. You feel me? You know you got a beautiful family, all the [stuff]. But, you know, [people] have been going off the deep end with how they’ve been, and how they’ve been thinking,” he added.

Before Thursday’s practice sessions, Wilson was asked to react to his former teammate’s kind words for him. He mentioned that he didn’t listen to the interview but realized that Lynch was a few of his ardent supporters in hard times. He thanked the veteran for the support and vowed to come back soon. The Broncos will next face the Chargers on Monday.
