The Lamar Jackson scenario is nowhere near its resolution point at the moment.  After over a year of negotiations, the relationship between him and the Baltimore Ravens seems to have soured a little. And according to a sports radio personality, the QB might not get his way with moving away from the franchise.

Jackson has got brutally rejected over cap space and draft picks. The Ravens want a hefty compensation to let go of their prized QB. And that may be one of the reasons that Jackson hasn’t got any takers this off-season.

Radio host Chris Russo, also known as Mad Dog, has pinpointed the reasons Lamar Jackson is finding it hard to get a new team. According to him, the Ravens QB has nowhere to go. And he attributed the compensation that is required to get his services as a reason behind the reluctance of the NFL franchises.

“Enough about Lamar Jackson my goodness gracious. There is no team for him to go to right now. He has to realize this huge compensation of two first round picks and you gotta pay him 50 million dollars. I mean, my gosh the young quarterback, you don’t pay him that much money,” Russo said on ESPN’s First Take.

Wherever Jackson goes, the team will have to give up a huge amount of cap space to accommodate his contract. And they will also have to give up two first-round draft picks as the Ravens have put a franchise tag on the QB. And according to Russo, it is a big compensation to give to a young QB.

Lamar Jackson deserves a hefty contract wherever he goes in the NFL. But many are concerned over the injury record of the QB. He missed a hefty chunk of games for the Ravens in the last couple of seasons. Last season, he even missed the team’s playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
