After 365 days of writing and addressing 2022 as the general norm. People will have to start getting used to a digit change as 2023 has finally arrived. While many look back at the previous year with fond and nostalgic perception, Brittany Mahomes is leading by example.

The partner of Patrick Mahomes shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram, highlighting the journey the pair has cleared together.

While 2022 was an important year for the Kansas City Chiefs‘ power couple. The pair got married in March earlier this year and then welcomed their second child in November.

However, their love story goes way beyond just this year, or a few that preceded it. The duo were high school friends from since 2011. Even though both of them went to different colleges, they stayed in Texas only, which helped them remain close to each other.

Looking back at the entire journey, 2022 was an important chapter. And that’s what Brittany caught with her latest post. She shared a montage clip with the background music of ‘Chasing You’, sung by Morgan Wallen. The caption read, “Entering 2023, still chasing you….& two kiddos.”

The heartwarming video received a lot of love from her fans.

One fan wrote, “Loveeeee this”

Another one wrote, “I love that you guys have stayed strong and together since high school! Says a lot!”

While this fan had advice for Patrick. “She loved you when she didn’t know what you would become. Hold on to her!!”

This one fan replied, “Beautiful family. Happy new year”

Brittany even reminded a fan of her story with her husband. “I am married to my high school sweet also. People said I did t know love. I believe that’s when we understand love truly. 35 years going 42 going. Ups and downs. But my heart still flutters when he walks through the door, even on the downs.”

A new Year and a new challenge for Patrick Mahomes

The Chiefs are entering 2023, as one of the favorites for the Super Bowl. However, the biggest obstacle in their path is in the AFC itself. The Buffalo Bills are looking like the team to get out of the conference. Even earlier in the year, when the two teams met, it was Josh Allen and his men who came out on top.

Mahomes has had a great year. He is even leading the MVP race with two weeks remaining. The 27-year-old QB is leading the offense with most yards per game (420.6) in this year’s NFL.

On the other hand, their defense is right around the middle of the pack in league. Hence, for yet another year, the onus of winning games for the team will fall on the QB and his trusted ally, Travis Kelce.
