The Dallas Cowboys had a great start with two consecutive wins this season, but the fans are holding their breath after what happened on Thursday’s practice. The Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs suffered an ACL injury in his left knee, which would result in a huge disadvantage on the defense side of the team. After the MRI was done, it seems like Diggs may have to skip the rest of this season, as he was seen on crutches walking out of the Cowboys headquarters.

Along with the fans, even his teammates are quite concerned about the player, and trying to look at the brighter side of things. The 2021 All-Pro just had his first inception of the season as they overcame the New York Jets with a 30-10 victory. In this dire condition, Trevon Diggs took the route of fatalism to cope with it. Even his teammates came to his aid. Now, he’s chiming in.

With the risk of missing the season, Diggs is trying his best to stay optimistic. This is a major setback for the whole team, especially for the team’s defense which had seven takeaways and ten sacks without a single turnover from the offense. This margin made a difference, so much so that it pushed the Cowboys through the two NFL games.

In one of the recent Instagram posts made by the official Dallas Cowboys account, they quoted Trevon Diggs, as to pay their homage towards the fallen soldier. In the post, he wrote, “Thank you for all the prayers and everyone for checking on me! This is just God’s plan. I will be back.” It’s safe to say that the fans will be waiting for their cornerback to join the team as soon as he’s ready.

Besides this homage, even Diggs’s teammates, Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons stood in support of their major defensive support in the game.

Diggs gets all the support from his teammates

After the practice, the entire team was devastated by the ACL tear that had their teammate on the ground. Back in July, the Cowboys and Diggs shook hands on a $97 million deal that extended his contract to five years, but the unfortunate events have turned the tables now. Before this, at the beginning of this year, the cornerback faced a humiliating $250,000 lawsuit.

However, the star linebacker Micah Parsons stood in solidarity with his teammate, as he stated that he will always be the pillar his team’s number 7 will require him to be.

Prayers, hoping for the best, simple as that.
