Thanksgiving weekend in the NFL is getting a bit longer. Beginning in 2023, the league will add a game that can be watched on Amazon Prime Video the day after Thanksgiving. It will bring millions of spectators to the e-commerce giant’s platform on the busiest shopping day of the year. The long-rumored pact gives the streamer, who took over the Thursday Night Football brand this year, access to another NFL time slot. And since Black Friday is an important day, the fans of the league reacted moderately.

Last season, Fox and the NFL Network averaged 12.84 million Thursday viewers. Additionally, the average age of Amazon’s Thursday viewers is significantly lower than that of the league’s other TV partners.
Fans did not sound very thrilled over the news NFL gave
In Week 5, when the Indianapolis Colts and the Broncos went head-to-head against each other, it did not make for an interesting game. The yawns of the Broncos’ supporters, who are among the most devoted in the NFL, only equaled zero touchdowns, four interceptions, six field goals, and 12 punts. As a result, several spectators started to leave Empower Field at Mile High before the game was over.
The Colts’ kicker, Chase McLaughlin, capitalized on Russell Wilson’s terrible interception to score a 31-yard field goal with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime. It was the height of calamity, though.
The game would continue for a further ten minutes at a very unusually high level for an NFL spectacle, and the initially muted booing quickly spread as social media erupted with criticism of both the Broncos and the Colts.
A lot of fans collectively expressed that they do not wish to watch the Denver Broncos play on the Thursday Night Football game on Black Friday.

The fans are not quite ecstatic about the Black Friday games. Would the Broncos take it as a challenge? Should the fans try to keep their hopes high? Certainly, the time will tell!
