This year’s NFL season had some interesting twists and turns that seemed entirely too unpredictable. And the credit in part of such a wonderful season goes to none other than the commissioner of the league, Roger Goodell. Goodell was able to once again make this year’s league a successful one. He took the fans’ criticism with a pinch of salt and worked well towards making the league a memorable one. However, he recently admitted to some interesting accusations of wrongdoings.

Goodell made an appearance on the podcast of Jason and Travis Kelce. While on the stage, the commissioner has been booed but that did not stop him from making the live episode with him entertaining.

While Goodell was on the show, he spoke humorously about the scripted allegations that propped up during the course of this season. A lot of people had begun to say that this year’s NFL season was fixed and scripted. Due to the mention of this, Goodell was booed by the crowd when he arrived for the podcast. However, instead of getting offended, the commissioner took it with a pinch of salt and made it humorous.

He spoke about how they had all planned for the Kelce brothers to compete against each other. Goodell said, “This all started last season when the NFL scriptwriters and I…there’s a pretty good script this year wouldn’t you say? Well, we got together and we decided that two brothers should play each other in the Super Bowl. “

In fact, Goodell’s sarcastic speech about the script made it clear that the Kelce brothers were able to play to such excellence only due to their own skill.

The record-breaking Kelce brothers

The Kelce brothers were able to make an NFL record in the 2022 season. The brothers became the first duo to ever play against each other in a Super Bowl game. While Travis played tight end for the Chiefs, winning the Super Bowl, Jason played center for the Eagles. They were able to overcome their respective conferences to face off for the Lombardi trophy. Furthermore, Travis was able to contribute to the Super Bowl win. He scored a touchdown and played a flawless game with 0 fumbles.

While the joke about the script has been going around, no one can take away the brothers’ achievements. It only remains to be seen how Goodell keeps responding to the different types of accusations in new and creative ways.
