The three-time Super Bowl-winning team, Kansas City Chiefs is set to compete again this season. Previously called Dallas Texans, the team was owned by Lamar Hunt and was later inherited by Clark Hunt in 2005. After his father’s death, Clark now owns the team with his two brothers and one sister. The team also attaches pride to the stadium that will become the battleground for the upcoming game on Sept. 8.

Kansas City Chiefs’ home field, Arrowhead Stadium, has boasted the same glory since 1972. Now with this season approaching, all details about the team and the stadium are must-know information for all. Let’s look into it before the beginning of NFL 2023.

Arrowhead Stadium can fit a staggering 76,416 people

Set in the beautiful city of Missouri, the Arrowhead Stadium is now officially known as GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs first played at this field when they were relocated to Kansas City in 1963 and were also renamed from Dallas Texans to Kansas City Chiefs.

The stadium’s rebuilding construction began in 1968 and was able to fit 82,094 people in the 1972 season which was by far the largest crowd at the stadium. Now it has a seating capacity of over 76,416 people and has managed to become the 4th largest stadium in the NFL.

Chiefs have played the most number of games against Las Vegas Raiders amounting to 128 games with a 72-54-2 overall record. As per statistics, they have the best chances of winning against the Washington Commanders and the least chances against the New York Giants. The tickets range from $220-$1500 for the upcoming Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs. The stadium is trying its best to offer the Chiefs fans an excellent experience there. It will be evident in their upcoming match that is set to happen on 8th September this month.

Chiefs fans will get a top-10 venue at the stadium

Recently, a ranking was released by The Athletic ranking all NFL stadiums on the basis of the best gameday experience. Arrowhead Stadium was ranked 6th after considering all the factors providing the best experience. The Athletics’ John Machota wrote that it’s tough to find a better atmosphere for the game.

Considering that the team has been playing there since 1972, the field has aged quite well. The noise of the crowd in the stadium is more or less the best there is, in the league. Chiefs fans are ready to consider it an exception for whoever doesn’t rank Arrowhead number one.
