Tom Brady landed in hot water a few days ago after he a bizarre comparison. The topic refuses to be over. The controversy started when Brady compared playing in the NFL with military deployment.
Brady apologized for his statement after receiving backlash online. Now the people at the center of the arguments have reacted to his apology.

Military veterans defend Tom Brady
Tom Brady apologized for comparing his life in the NFL to military deployment. This was after a section of fans took offense to his statement. But now veterans have come out in defense of the legendary quarterback, dividing the NFL world on the matter. After Brady’s apology statement, many veterans gave their two cents on the matter. Veterans have asked people to move on from the matter.
Many veterans took to Twitter to say that while the analogy was a poor choice of words, it is not something to get offended by. Tampa Bay Times correspondent Greg Auman shared screenshots of the arguments from both sides.

This veteran has asked fans to move on.
I'm in the Navy, & while I think Brady's statement wasn't the best choice of words, it's getting made a WAY bigger deal than it needs to be. He apologized. Let's just move on.

According to this veteran, it was just an analogy, nothing else.
Any vet who is offended by this sat in the wire all freaking deployment. He made an comparison, that's all. He was not saying he has it harder or anything. For a group that lives to make fun of libs, they sure are freaking sensitive about words.

Brady’s divorce
Tom Brady is going through a divorce with his wife Gisele Bündchen over his decision to continue playing in the NFL. Brady had announced his retirement from the game early this year. But the QB came back after just 40 days. This has reportedly not gone down well with Bündchen.

She is said to be frustrated about the amount of time Brady spends away from the family. It is in this context that Brady made the comments comparing NFL to military deployment. He made those comments while talking to NBA superstar Kevin Durant on his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast.
“I almost look at football season like you’re going away on deployment. It’s like, ‘Man, here I go again.’ There’s only one way to do it,” Brady said.

Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers need their QB to be hyper-focused if they want to win the Super Bowl this season. The Bucs have started the season with some mixed results. The team has won just three of their first six games and sits on the top of the NFC South table by a whisker. Tampa will take on the Carolina Panthers in game week seven in a bid to consolidate their path to the playoffs.
