Arizona Cardinals open practice window for Marquise Brown

Marquise Brown last featured for the Arizona Cardinals in the week six loss against the Seattle Seahawks. He has since been out due to a foot injury. The Cardinals placed him on the injured reserve list, indicating that he will spend a long time on the sidelines. But it doesn’t seem to be the case.

The Cardinals have opened a 21-day practice window for Brown as a first step to getting back on the active roster. But he may feature in the Week 11 game against the Niners, according to reports. If true, it is a big boost for the Cardinals. The team has won just four games out of the opening 10. They have multiple players out injured so someone of Brown’s caliber coming back is great news.

The Cardinals can put Brown back on the active roster anytime in the next three weeks. If they don’t do it in that timeframe, it will be the end of the season for Brown.

Brown before injury

The Arizona Cardinals traded for Marquise Brown in the offseason after wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins’ suspension for the first six games. And he played well for the first six weeks before his injury. The wide receiver caught 43 balls out of 64 attempts. The completions totaled a combined 485 yards. Brown scored three touchdowns in the process.

He then suffered from a foot injury in week six against the Seahawks. The Cardinals placed him on the injured reserve. And he is finally back to rescue the season for the Cardinals. Also known as Hollywood Brown, he started his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens picked up the University of Oklahoma alumni in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.
