Aguero’s best years were yet to come. In 2011, Sergio joined the EPL after signing with Manchester City. During his stay in England, he helped his club win the league title five times. Perhaps the most iconic moment of his career was the last-minute goal Aguero scored for City against QPR. In his debut season, this goal brought Manchester City their first league title in 44 years. Aguero became the club’s top goal scorer of all time with 260 goals. In the early 2010s, Sergio was definitely a force to be reckoned with.

In May 2021, Aguero signed a two-year deal with Barcelona F.C. He made his debut in October. But in a game later that month, Sergio was taken off the field during the first half. He was experiencing some chest pains, which later revealed that Sergio was suffering from arrhythmia. On December 15, the striker announced he will retire from professional soccer.

NFL star JJ Watt sends a heartfelt message to Aguero
