Kliff Kingsbury’s Arizona Cardinals are second in the NFC West Division table behind rivals Seattle Seahawks. Pete Carroll and Co. top the division at this point in the season. Both these teams will face off on Sunday in a blockbuster encounter. The two players who will share the limelight yet again are quarterbacks, Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson.
Both players have enjoyed a strong start to the 2020 season. Of course, Wilson just seems ‘untouchable’ at the moment, leading the Seahawks to a 5-game winning streak. What’s more, they remain unbeaten heading into Week 7.
However, a certain American talk show host feels that’s about to change soon.

Popular sportscaster makes bold Kyler Murray claim ahead of Week Seven

On the latest segment of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, host Skip Bayless went on a Kyler Murray-appreciation rant.
The outspoken sportscaster gave his reasoning behind why he thinks Murray can be a greater talent than Russell Wilson in the long term. “What’s not to like about his arch, it’s already starting, right.
“I would say he has a chance to be better than Russell, he’s got to stay healthy, obviously, but he does have something in his head, like a defensive mechanism, that even Michael (Vick) didn’t have when he ran.
“He gets down fast, he will take no chances anywhere. He protects himself at all costs,” Bayless said on the show via AZ Central.
Co-host Shannon Sharpe doesn’t concur
.@ShannonSharpe on whether Kyler Murray ends up being better than Russell Wilson:
"This is tough because Russell is getting better every year. So to say Kyler can be better than Russ, that means he's possibly going to win 2-3 MVPs, because I think Russ wins it this year." pic.twitter.com/jiNDMZzDwN

As usual, former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens star Shannon Sharpe strongly disagreed with Skip’s claim later on during the show.
He said, “To say that Kyler is eventually going to be better than Russ, that means Kyler is possibly going to win 2 or 3 MVPs, because I believe Russ is going to finally win the MVP this year.
“I think the biggest differences I can see right now, and Kyler can get better at this, is accuracy. Russell is spot on right now.
“He doesn’t take the hits either Skip, he gets down quick … You force me right now, Skip, I am going to say no, he is not going to be as good as Russ because I believe Russ is only now getting better.
“Right now Russ is on a Hall of Fame arch, the next three years will be very important for him. Right now I am going to say no,” Sharpe added.
What does Russell Wilson say about the Cardinals quarterback?
On paper, Wilson is ahead of Murray in passing yards and TDs. However, the young Cardinals quarterback is one of the Top-3 rushing quarterbacks in the league alongside Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton. Murray has rushed for 370+ rushing yards with 6 rushing TDs to his name.
Here’s what former Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson said of his opponent ahead of Sunday’s outing at the University of Phoenix Stadium. “He’s a phenomenal football player. He can really throw it, He can spin it, he can run around, he is as quick as a cat.

“He’s just moving around like crazy. I got to know him in the draft process, got a lot of respect for him & his competitiveness,” Wilson told ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.
The Cardinals are on a 4-2 record heading into Week 7. They put in a dominating display last weekend as they defeated the Dak Prescott-less Dallas Cowboys by a 38-10 margin. However, Kyler played well below average and had to rely on DeAndre Hopkins to bail him out.

Can they repeat the same performance this weekend against the Seahawks and cause a major upset? Murray might just want to impress after last weekend’s forgettable display.
