Arizona Cardinals Safety Budda Baker reached out to all his well-wishers on Twitter by thanking them for their support. We see the player laying down on his hospital bed while recording a 29-second video hoping to get back home. The Cardinals defender stayed overnight at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for evaluation, imaging, and testing.

His injury took place during the Cardinals-Rams Wild Card game on Monday. Los Angeles Rams RB Cam Akers ended up having a hard collision with Baker after both of their helmets collided. The player ended up suffering a concussion following the incident. The player found himself being hospitalized but was alert and communicating when checks did happen.

The 4-time Pro Bowl Safety was enjoying one of his best seasons with the Cardinals. He finished the season with 98 total tackles, 2 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 3 interceptions, and 7 passes defenses. A stellar regular season campaign was going to be an important step to translate success in the postseason.

Budda Baker given the all green to go home
The Cardinals Senior VP of Media Relations Mark Dalton provided the fans with an encouraging tweet about Baker. He did state that Budda stayed overnight at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He did report the player was given the all-clear by the physicians who ended up releasing him on Tuesday morning.
The player posted a video of himself from the hospital bed stating, “I wanna say thank you for all the prayers and well wishes from everyone. I appreciate that. You know everything came out clean. I am gonna make a full recovery.”

While stating he felt the recovery was a blessing in disguise, he joked, “You know I haven’t been able to shower and I stink.”

The player is on his way back to his hometown, Arizona, where he will recuperate with his loved ones. It’s unfortunate how the incident might have been scary for his relatives, but they will be glad he is returning home scot-free.
