The Seattle Seahawks traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster deal. Wilson and the Broncos reached an agreement on a five-year, $245 million contract deal at the start of September. This includes $165 million guaranteed. Because of this super lucrative deal, the leading quarterback of the Broncos once shared that he bought a beautiful house for his lovely mother, Tammy Wilson, in 2019.

Not that children need any specific day to gift their mothers their favorite things, but Russell Wilson made that day even more special. On an Instagram post, the 33-year-old shot caller and his mother, Tammy, stood in front of a porch. The caption of the posts was, “All these years you have never asked me for anything…only thing you ever wanted is for me to LOVE. Well thanks for loving us the way you do. This ones for you. I love you momma. #HappyMothersDay #GodIsGood.”
The Grammy-winning wife of Wilson, Ciara, looked at the mother when the Super Bowl-winning QB headed Mommy Wilson keys, “It’s your house, open the door.” With a confused look, she glanced around at her family members. Then asked, “You lying. Are you serious?!” She could not believe her eyes, therefore asked once again, “No, are you serious? For real?…That’s not funny! No, no, no, y’all lying.”

At this point, Wilson leaned over and kissed his mother on her cheek while she broke into tears. Then she proceeded to walk up the stair and unlock the house to open the front door. It was an adorable moment for a son and his mother to share. Fans congratulated Tammy Wilson and spoke highly of the Broncos QB for gifting his mother such a thoughtful gift.

With a mark of $49 million per season (Rodgers is at $50 million), it made him the second-highest-paid quarterback in the league, behind Aaron Rodgers. The contract’s guaranteed amount of $165 million was third in the league, behind Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson.
