Recently, the NFL released the 2020 schedule for all teams. However, New England Patriots manager Bill Belichick still thinks that his team is missing something.
Apparently, Belichick still hasn’t endorsed a starting quarterback for the Patriots. Speaking to Rich Eisen on life in New England without Tom Brady, he was quick to remind that he managed without the star QB once before.
To be precise, he alluded to the 2008 season where Brady picked up a season-ending injury. To make matters worse, it happened in the season opener and Brady also missed the first four games of 2016 for another injury. Luckily, the Patriots went 13-6 in those contests.

Who will step up for the New England Patriots?
The biggest question on everyones’ mind is, if there will be any additions to the QB roster, which has four names already. The Patriot currently have second-year Jarrett Stidham, journeyman Brian Hoyer and undrafted rookies Brian Lewerke and J’Mar Smith.
“That’s where we are,” Belichick said. “You never know what’s going to happen down the road, but we feel like we have four good players there.”

They’ll need at least one person to step up to the plate. The Patriots have the toughest strength of schedule in 2020. This is because, it is based on their opponents’ 2019 records, a first for New England in the Belichick era. With Tom Brady, the Pats met a lot of success, so it will be difficult to move on without him.
Stidham, Hoyer, Lewerke and Smith, all have big shoes to fill, as very few could replace Tom Brady. Meanwhile, Brady himself is gearing up to life at Tampa Bay and is set to link up with the likes of Rob Gronkowski. So, it will be interesting to see how the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get on in the 2020 season
