He and Watt played together on the Central Michigan team for one season before Watt moved on to the University of Wisconsin. The Steelers drafted Brown to the NFL directly from the Chippewas.

Brown and Watt in the NFL
The university teammates have faced off multiple times in the NFL. They have both played for multiple franchises over the course of their careers. In fact, the teammates bonded when Watt’s brother TJ Watt joined the Steelers in the 2017 draft. Apparently, the elder Watt gave his old teammate the responsibility of leading his brother’s hazing in the Steelers’ locker room.
Currently, Brown is a free agent and there is no clarity on him playing in 2022. However, if he does play, it would be quite a sight to see him lining up again, against his old university teammate.
