Antonio Brown to pay damages for assaulting a truck driver
Antonio Brown hasn’t played football since January 2022. But that doesn’t mean he is out of the news. From his viral appearances anywhere to his social media posts, he knows how to keep being a talking point. And now, Brown is in the news due to a court order.
Brown will pay $1.2 million to a truck driver he allegedly assaulted back in 2020. A jury in Broward County has sided with Anton Tumanov in the alleged assault case. Brown did not respond or turn up for the hearings of the case.
The incident dates back to February 2020, when Tumanov went to Brown’s Florida home to make a delivery. The truck driver alleged that the ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver assaulted him during the delivery. In his 2021 suit against Brown, Tumanov alleged that the 2020 Super Bowl champion assaulted him while also damaging his vehicle.
The jury has awarded Tomanov $407,000 for his medical expenses. He also got $793,000 as compensation for the pain and suffering he went through. The police had charged Brown on three counts after Tomanov’s initial complaint in 2020. AB then agreed to a settlement with the authorities. The settlement got the case dropped while Brown agreed to the terms of probation, community service, and anger management classes.
Kanye West loses billionaire status
It is not only Antonio Brown who has lost money. Brown’s friend and rapper Kanye West has also lost a big chunk of his net worth, so much so that he has lost the billionaire tag.

Adidas canceled a deal reported to be worth over $1.5 billion with West due to his antisemitic comments. The company had put the deal under review after the rapper, on the ‘Drink Champs’ podcast, said that Adidas won’t drop him even on making anti-semitic comments.
“The thing about it being Adidas is, like, I can literally say antisemitic s–t and they can’t drop me… I can antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?” Ye said. The deal now stands canceled. Ye, who was worth nearly $2 billion, now drops to just $400 million.
