Earlier the use of marijuana or CBD products was discouraged in professional sports. However, the recent amendments have led to a paradigm shift in society, and players are getting involved in consuming these products regularly.

Antonio Brown is not the first athlete to join the CBD business

Many professional players like Mike Tyson, and MMA superstar Nate Diaz have already plunged their roots in selling CBD products. On April 17th, Antonio Brown shared an Instagram story advertising his new Cannabis products. The products were exclusively tagged with Brown’s name on the label. CBD is used for an abundance of reasons, but athletes are most commonly using it as a natural alternative for pain relief due to its theorized anti-inflammatory properties.

A few months before Brown made a shocking exit from the field, he was allegedly suffering from an ankle injury. He claimed that the medical staff injected him with painkillers to get back to the field. If this happens to be true, could there be a better natural solution to avoid such drastic measures? Well, many athletes find Cannabis products as an alternative measure to such problems.

Tiki Barber, who played as a running back for the New York Giants till 2007, co-founded a Vancouver-based investment firm Grove Group Management in 2018. “The more quickly we can get cannabis legalized federally, the better off athletes will be,” Barber told in a CNN business interview.
