Back in 2019, the Seven-time Pro Bowler joined the Tom Brady-led squad for one year with a hefty contract of $15 million. Despite being a controversial figure, Bill Belichick recruited him. He could only play for one game before his release within two weeks.

The cheque was dated 20th July 2020, and the amount was more than $2.5 million. It was probably his last chunk of salary with the Patriots. At that time, he had begun a new journey with the Buccaneers, and the very same season he became the Super Bowl champion.

“Well it was the best experience of my life being here,” Brown said in the interview. “Bill Belichick [is] one of the best coaches, preparing the players, on the field, off the field, with discipline.”
