The Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady are looking to run it back in 2021. Retaining all their starters from their Super Bowl LV win against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buccaneers have asserted themselves as the team to beat in the NFC.
En route to their Super Bowl success, the Buccaneers interestingly beat the 2020 favorites Green Bay Packers. Led by league MVP Aaron Rodgers, the Packers were in hot form.

But somehow despite a valiant effort, the Packers failed to make it across the Brady hurdle. With the Bucs now aiming to make a trip to the Super Bowl again, several NFC teams would like to make a case for themselves. And among them are the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers serious contenders to Buccaneers’ NFC crown
During a segment of the Rich Eisen Show, NFL analyst Charean Williams was asked about the team she believes can give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a run for their money.
And for Williams, the answer was rather straightforward. With Aaron Rodgers once again leading the pack, the Green Bay Packers enter the 2021 NFL season as Williams’ favorites to beat the Buccaneers from the NFC.

“The first team to look at is the Packers just because they did get Aaron Rodgers back and they got to the NFC Championship game. They actually hosted that game,” said Williams.
“Maybe if they’ve gone to the touchdown instead of kicking that field goal, maybe they would’ve ended up pulling that game out. Who knows?” she added.

Williams here is referring to the now-infamous fourth-quarter moment during the NFC title game between the Buccaneers and the Packers last season. Trailing by 8 points, the Packers opted to kick a field goal instead of going for the touchdown on a fourth down with a little over two minutes remaining on the clock.
That decision was a costly one as Tom Brady held on to the ball to complete a 31-26 victory to claim the NFC. So with the Bucs the favorites to win the NFC again, Williams feels the Packers aren’t far off behind.

“I think that’s a team you look at right away as being the contender to knock off the Buccaneers. I think they’re clearly the second-best team in the NFC.”
Agree with Williams’ comments? If not the Packers then which other NFC franchise do you think can halt the Buccaneers‘ title run?
