Sam Darnold and the New York Jets endured yet another dismal outing in the NFL last year. Head Coach Adam Gase was sacked as the New York-based franchise finished at the bottom of the AFC East with a 2-14 record.
Quarterback Sam Darnold could not help the Jets improve on their 2019 record, despite decent individual displays over the course of the season.
He finished the regular season with 2,208 passing yards and 9 touchdowns. He further had 217 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs. But the Jets own the 2nd overall pick for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Who will quarterback Sam Darnold feature for in 2021?

“And there’s only two guys on the market left. Nobody’s going to go big in my opinion except maybe New England…you can get Sam Darnold for almost nothing, what are you waiting for?” Cowherd said on his show.
Matt Nagy’s Chicago Bears are without Mitchell Trubisky at present. They have former Super Bowl winner Nick Foles on their roster, but he is more of a squad player than an assured starter. Darnold could serve as the ‘ideal’ quarterback for the Bears, especially due to his dual-threat abilities.
