Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim pulled off a major coup by landing the in-demand free agent JJ Watt earlier this week. The former Houston Texans man signed a 2-year contract worth $31 million (including bonuses).

They are slowly and steadily turning into potential NFC West title contenders. Could they strengthen their offense by trading for experienced wideout Odell Beckham Jr. in the summer?

The 28-year-old wide receiver endured a tough spell in his second full season with AFC North franchise, Cleveland Browns. In 7 games last year, OBJ had 319 receiving yards with 3 receiving touchdowns.

His season was brought to a premature end after he suffered an ACL tear in the 34-37 win over Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. Despite his poor injury record, can OBJ still prove to be an asset for the Cardinals if the move for him in the coming weeks?

Former Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall featured on the latest segment of FOX Sports’ First Things First.

The NFL player-turned-analyst claimed the Cardinals must definitely explore a potential deal involving OBJ in the build-up to the 2021 NFL season.

“You said coach Kevin Stefanski said his rehab is going great? Where’s he rehabbing right now? Phoenix, Arizona? Yeah, he’s gonna be on the card.

“I know yesterday I talked about the Green Bay Packers, but no, I’m looking at this and I’m like, JJ Watt just goes there.

“He’s out there in Arizona falling in love with the weather that JJ Watt’s talking about. You got Kyler (Murray) you got big dog D-Hop on the other side.

“Why wouldn’t you get this done? So I am going to double down on the Arizona Cardinals,” Marshall said on the show.

The Cardinals already have 2 experienced wideouts on their roster in the in-form of DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald. In Kyler Murray, coach Kliff Kingsbury has a reliable quarterback who can throw the ball down the field and run with it as well. JJ Watt and Chandler Jones will be defensive monsters in 2021. Is OBJ the missing piece of the puzzle for Arizona?
