Veteran quarterback Tom Brady joined the Bruce Arians-coached Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 offseason. The 6-time Super Bowl champion ended his 20-year association with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots to sign a 2-year deal with the Bucs worth upwards of $60 million (including bonuses).

However, no one could have predicted the fairytale run that Brady and his band of speedsters embarked upon when the season began in September 2020.

The 43-year-old veteran along with former Patriots teammates Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown starred as the Bucs defeated Kansas City Chiefs by a 9-31 scoreline on February 7th, 2020.
In doing so, the Buccaneers won their second-ever Lombardi. But can they successfully defend their title in 2021?

The outspoken American analyst Chris Broussard opined that the Buccaneers are THE team to beat in the NFC South. He said, “All right, I think the team to beat right now the favorite in the NFC right now should be Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, they’re going to be better.
“They’re going to be better. He will be the second year in a system with Bruce Arians second year out of New England and he’ll be more comfortable as good as he looked this year.

“If I have seven rings, and I’m still going hard after another championship, the rest of you should be as hungry as ever. So I think that was a message, and that’s one of the strengths of Brady, his leadership, his intangibles, and this was an example of that,” Broussard said on the show.
The Buccaneers have a lot of players who will be free agents in the summer. The likes of Shaquil Barrett, Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy, and others all signed short-term deals.

In addition to that, Chris Godwin is also due for a new contract which won’t come cheap. It will be interesting to see how coach Arians and GM Jason Licht hold on to some of the core members from their Super Bowl-winning roster.
