During the offseason, the NFL free-agent market has been a fascinating thing to watch. Rob Gronkowski, Bucs’ tight end, has recently shifted the focus to himself since he will become a free agent in the following days. As the next season approaches, the athlete opens up some possibilities. He can return to Tampa Bay, move to another organization, or retire.

However, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, currently describes his NFL future as “undecided.” Gronk has once announced his retirement in 2019. However, it was short-lived as his best friend, Tom Brady, moves to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, and robbed him in as well. Together, they won the Super Bowl in their 2021 campaign. Brady has now made a Gronkowski-style return, but the TE’s fate is still an enigma.
If he returns, Tampa Bay will once again have a powerhouse offense as they can pursue another Super Bowl ring.
The Rob Gronkowski situation is still up in the air
Rob Gronkowski’s agent Drew Rosenhaus recently addressed the situation of Rob Gronkowski and his future in the league.
According to Rick Stroud, the veteran tight end’s agent Drew Rosenhaus informed the reporters on Thursday during a news conference for Tyreek Hill. “I talked to Tampa yesterday, and I told them that he’s still undecided. He needs some time to figure out whether he wants to play,” he mentioned.
Agent Drew also added that Brady’s decision to un-retire may have some influence over Rob’s resolution for the outlook. Moreover, the Buccaneers front also extended the convenience for the TE athlete to come back with the franchise.
Rosenhaus said Tom Brady's decision to end his retirement could obviously influence Gronk's decision.
The Bucs "have offered the opportunity for Rob to come back,'' Rosenhaus said. "I think he's honestly undecided.'' https://t.co/xR1yBlXAqi— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) March 24, 2022
Apart from the sport, Gronkowski also has been dabbling in NFTs. The athlete recently collaborated alongside Tom Brady’s co-founded NFT venture, Autograph, to introduce his new “Super Gronk” collection.

Rob Gronkowski missed 5 matches due to injuries, but he still grabbed 55 passes for 802 yards and six TDs. In two postseason games, he had nine receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown. Gronkowski has the fifth-most yards receiving by a tight end (9,286) and the third-most receiving touchdowns by a tight end in NFL history (92).
His 98 grabs for 1,389 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns in the postseason are the third-most by almost any player in playoff history.
Gronk has represented himself as a convincing name for the hall of fame. The Bucs’ offensive corps will indeed fire on all pistons if Gronkowski eventually returns. Furthermore, the famous tight end has already stated that he’d only ever play with Tom Brady, so there’s reason to expect he’ll be back. If not, the Buccaneers should select a tight end in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft.
