Green Bay might not be the only place Aaron Rodgers closed out on a bad note. With Rodgers having moved on to greener pastures, New York has welcomed the 4x MVP with open arms, and even A-Rod appears as invested as ever. Whether it’s dancing his heels off at Taylor Swift concerts or showing up at the 76th Tony Awards, Rodgers has indeed found himself a new home, but a home is incomplete without a family.
Aaron Rodgers owes a ton of his success to the Green Bay Packers and the confidence the franchise showed him since being drafted. Even the shift from Brett Favre to Rodgers was a brave choice on the Packers’ part. And now that the relationship has deteriorated, A-Rod has truly moved on. Yet, some demons are lingering in Rodgers’ closet that he simply can’t ignore, and family just so happens to be one of them.

Even since his emergence in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers has continued baffling many with his perfect throws and read on the game. But then again, maybe he owes many of his innate gifts to his lineage. Aaron Rodgers’ father Edward Rodgers was an equally invested student of the game as his son, playing for the Chico State Wildcats from 1973 to 1976 as an offensive lineman. While Edward Rodgers didn’t enjoy the same success as his son, eventually transitioning to a profession as a chiropractor, the 68-year-old’s pride lies in A-Rod’s achievements.
But the relationship isn’t what it used to be once. A rift in the Rodgers’ household has been a constant topic of interest among his fans and even though the exact specifics behind the differences are not yet known, Aaron Rodgers’ recent actions lead many to believe that the issue is not yet resolved. On the eve of Father’s Day, most relevant names in the NFL world took to social media to wish the man behind their success, but not Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers’ socials had no mention of his family let alone wishing them on the eventful day. Yet, the family has continued their support of A-Rod, especially his father and hopefully the family will come to a resolution soon.

A Father’s unwavering support
The matter first got brought into the public eye back in 2016, as Rodgers’ brother disclosed the family not exactly seeing eye to eye. A year later, A-Rod’s father shared with the New York Times that, “Fame can change things,“. During the interaction with New York Times, Ed Rodgers appeared fairly saddened by the turn of events and even disclosed that Aaron Rodgers hadn’t spoken to the family since the end of 2014.

Despite the differences, Edward Rodgers has continued with his support for his beloved son, relentlessly defending him through every controversy. Whether it was the vaccine outrage or Aaron Rodgers wanting a change of scenery, his father was a force to be reckoned with. However, Aaron Rodgers still has time on his side to make amends, and hopefully, the legendary QB won’t fumble the opportunity.
