Aaron Rodgers started the year with an MVP honor but at the same time crashed out of the play-offs. While the Green Bay Packers made up their mind and handed a multiyear deal to the QB. The 3 years $150 million contract extension made him one of the highest paid players in the league.

However, after a pleasant summer, things have rather taken the wrong turn. After a poor run of form for the majority of the season, the team is likely to miss the playoffs, and the organization is considering moving on from the Rodgers’ era.

But even after all that, A-Rod has started the new year with a strong mindset.

The 39-year-old shared a clip of Shaolin master, Shi Yeng Hi and the wisdom he imparted to the world, more importantly, to Rodgers. The idea given by the master is to live a pleasant life for yourself before trying to guide others or become the best in the world.

A-Rod has been taking a lot of time in the past few years for the purposes of self exploration. Sometimes at the expense of criticism of others. But his time, the QB has relied his message to the fans and has cleared his approach for this coming year.

An uncertain future for Aaron Rodgers

While there have been multiple reports about the possible retirement of the former Super Bowl champion. With his contract setting him up for a grand pay day next season, it is more than likely that he will remain in the league.

But that raises another question, whether the Packers stick with him or kick-start their rebuild with Jordan Love.

The team currently has a young line up of receivers and an aging offensive line. That leaves them with two options. First is to commit to Rodgers who is on the tail end of his career and surround him with weapons for this season.

On the other hand, the QB himself has been off the mark for most of the season. This leads us to the second option, which is to capitalize on the back-to-back MVP’s value and trade him.

I have credited some teams with an interest in the player. The Las Vegas Raiders are currently leading the pack, as Derek Carr is on the verge of an exit from the team. Even Tom Brady is on the list, but Rodgers would be an equally enticing option.
