Deion Sanders has arguably become one of the legends of the NFL. Playing both cornerbacks as well as short stints as wide receiver, he has had enough excellence to win two Super Bowls, one with the 49ers and one with the Dallas Cowboys. However, Sanders actually got his start in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. While he was with the Falcons, Sanders had made a friend for life in one of his teammates. Interestingly, that friend recently showed love to Sanders.
The teammate in question is none other than Andre Rison. Rison, a Super Bowl champion himself, went on to have a little meet and greet with his old teammate amidst Sanders’ huge dilemma. Sanders took to Instagram to give a huge shoutout to his friend and even reminisced with Rison over a ‘fake’ fight.

As of now, Sanders is stuck on deciding the faith of his football program. He needs to help the Colorado Buffaloes come to a decision about their conference status. They can either decide to stay with the Pac-12, who’ve received a low projected media deal of $300 million. Conversely, he can choose to lead his team out of Pac-12 to a more lucrative conference. While he suffers from such a complex conflict, he received a small reprieve from Risen’s visit.

In the caption of the post, Sanders praised Rison for being a great father and called him his brother. Interestingly, the duo was seen fake fighting in the post that Sanders put up.
The fake fighting was a hilarious nod to an incident that occurred back in the 90s when both Rison and Sanders were active NFL players.

While both Sanders and Rison were joking about their fight now, their tussle was quite a newsworthy incident back in the day. The incident occurred way back when both Rison and Sanders were in their prime. Sanders and Rison got into a fight during the second quarter of their match. At the time, Sanders donned the 49ers uniform while Rison was a proud Atlanta Falcon.
The intriguing detail about the fight is that, after it happened, only Sanders was penalized. This might have been because he supposedly threw the first punch. However, he soon returned the favor by intercepting a Falcon pass as a cornerback and returning it for a whopping 93-yard touchdown.
While the incident was clearly something they laughed about right now, both players were then fined $4000 each. However, there is clearly no bad blood lost between the two as they went on to joke about it, as is seen in the video.
