The Kansas City Chiefs carved their way back last night against the Philadelphia Eagles to lay hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy. And State Farm Arena buzzed with ‘how about ’em Chiefs‘ chants. However, amidst all the celebrations, the Chiefs have some sad news to deal with.

Backup quarterback Chad Henne announced that he will retire from the NFL after the Super Bowl LVII victory. And Henne couldn’t have asked for a better ending, especially since Chad stepped up this season after Patrick Mahomes‘ injury. And the Chiefs will surely miss Henne a lot.

And Chad stepped up. Not letting the Jags capitalize on Pat’s absence, Chad drove the offense for 98 yards before connecting with Travis Kelce for a touchdown. ‘Henne-thing’ indeed. Even during last night’s title clash, Henne started warming up during the end of the first half when Mahomes hurt his ankle again. However, luckily for the Chiefs, their warrior quarterback wouldn’t let his ankle injury scare come in the way of lifting the Lombardi. And in his last NFL game, Chad took it easy.
