It might not be an overstatement to say Russell Wilson is heading to Judgement Day in Denver with the 2023 season on the horizon. In the maiden season at Broncos, after a much-hyped trade of a five-year extension worth $245 Million, Wilson experienced a shellacking season fraught with declined performance and injuries. Upon his arrival, Wilson was dubbed as the saving grace of the franchise, which has struggled in the league and lacked stability with the constant movement of head coaches and quarterbacks. But, as per his social media, Wilson looks motivated and ready to overturn his last season’s stats.
Wilson went on to have a ghastly season where he dipped to a 60% completion rate, the lowest recorded in his career, and suffered a concussion late in the season while inviting the wrath of Broncos fans and critics. Restoring the old glory and earning the trust of the NFL fans prove to be nothing but an uphill battle for the QB. However, Wilson is not ready to give it up.
