There is no shortage of teams that want star receiver DeAndre Hopkins on their roster. Unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs is not one of them. And D-Hop seems to have taken things personally. Looks like the former Arizona Cardinals pass catcher has moved on to his next-best destination in the AFC. Or at least hours away from it.
Even before he parted ways with Arizona, D-Hop had the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills on the top of his list. And the Buffalo fan base found a reason to celebrate as the 31-year-old vet dropped some subtle clues in an Instagram shopping video. Both in the choice of his outfits and the spending location.

It’s not unusual to see professional athletes shopping for the perfect game-day outfit. Things were no different for the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver and free agent, DeAndre Hopkins. However, it wasn’t the splurging that stood out. Instead, it was Hopkins’ picks in the Toronto store he visited that had the Bills Mafia reeling in excitement.
“I like the cold now,” Hopkins said in the video holding a Buffalo blue Patagonia jacket. While the wideout also tried out other colors, the words, ‘blue’ and ‘cold’, were enough to get the Bills Mafia off their seats. And the reaction was simply overwhelming. More so because the Toronto store he visited was under a two-hour drive from Buffalo.

“Wonder what city is right across the border from Toronto,” another one wrote. “Stop playing with Bills Mafia’s emotions,” another wrote in all caps. “Stop by Buffalo while you’re there,” one fan chimed in.

Are the Bills really in the best position to land D-Hop?
As per his CBS Sports interview last month, DeAndre Hopkins would love to join Josh Allen and Co in Rochester. This is becoming an increasingly plausible scenario ever since the KC Chiefs indirectly backed off from the race to land the 10-year veteran. “I think we’re deep at receiver,” Patrick Mahomes recently said on being asked about teaming up with D-Hop.
The Bills, on the other hand, could use Hopkins to add more ammunition to the Josh Allen-led offense besides Stefon Diggs. While the Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year without Tyreek Hill, the Bills have only come close to a conference championship in the Josh Allen Era. Can Hopkins push the Buffalo franchise to a Super Bowl appearance and a maiden Lombardi if he joins them this off-season?
