In a complaint filed in May, the Mississippi Department of Human Services cited HOF QB, Brett Favre. The administration is aiming to retrieve the welfare funds that were spent inappropriately. The scandal is worth $94 million and involves Favre and other plaintiffs in the complaint.
As per si.com, Favre allegedly used “special access” to Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant and other individuals to get millions of dollars for groups he favored. Mississippi’s overall welfare problem is still under investigation. But they purportedly linked at least $8 million to Favre’s activities. The reports also accuse the HOF QB of keeping $1.1 million from the welfare funding.

To give some clarification to the situation, the former Packers quarterback mentioned he has already repaid the money he got as a spokesperson for the Families First program.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the HOF QB is among the 38 defendants in the lawsuit. Others include ex-wrestlers Brett and Ted DiBiase along with their father, ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase Sr.
