Soon after ESPN reporter Adam Schefter shared this news with the world, Chiefs fans were overwhelmed with excitement, surpassing all expectations. The Chiefs will be the first Super Bowl Champions to visit the White House before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who did so two years back. The Los Angeles Rams were not able to make the trip last year. The Chiefs also were not able to visit the White House after their Super Bowl LIV victory in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But this time, fortune is in their hands, and they will be making their way on June 5th. Following their triumphant victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, with a score of 38-35, President Biden wasted no time in extending his congratulations to the Chiefs via social media. He wrote, “Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs on their Super Bowl win and to MVP @PatrickMahomes on leading the team to victory.” He further expressed, “Through injury and obstacles, you [Patrick] showed grit and true resilience. Looking forward to having you at the White House.”

Before Patrick, Brady & Curry experienced a visit to the White House

In a notable milestone, the legendary quarterback Tom Brady recently visited the White House for the first time since 2017. Accompanied by his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady engaged in lighthearted conversations with President Biden, touching upon subjects such as age and the recent election. According to ESPN, President Biden also encouraged the team members to get vaccinated against COVID-19 if they hadn’t already done so.

This visit marked Brady’s initial White House appearance in 2005 when he was part of the New England Patriots during President George W. Bush’s tenure. Notably, Brady has won the Super Bowl under four different administrations, although his teams chose not to attend meetings with Barack Obama in 2015 and Donald Trump in 2017. Subsequently, after their victory in 2019, the Patriots collectively decided against attending the White House ceremony.
