Citing scotch as his companion for reflecting his performances, Rodgers reveals his coping mechanism through his rough form as he looks to improvise his losing record with the Packers this year.

Rodgers showed his experience in the league as he spoke about his poor delivery with poise. “Reflection is an important part of this game and I think you always got to separate emotion from reality and so after every game, win or lose there is an important reflection part that happens”, said Rodgers as he spoke about an important process that brings the winning mentality for him.

He answered the original question with a single-word answer, ‘scotch,’ in a classic Aaron Rodgers’ witty manner. He went on to say that even though he joked about it earlier, it has become a practice. “Often it is with a glass of scotch as I contemplate how the game went and what I could have done better... What I need to do differently in the coming weeks.”

While he was honest about resorting to alcohol for an extra push, he gave himself some credit for it. “There’s a lot of confidence built up over the years about the way I have played. And that’s what I lean on when it’s hard times and even (when) it’s good times. It’s a reminder that I have done it before and that I’m going to do it again.”
Having been around for seventeen years and after securing several accolades to his name, he can certainly look for that push within himself whenever he is low on confidence. Despite it being an extremely physical game, football is equally a game of the mind. Adopting different ways to fine-tune his mind is what sets Rodgers apart from the rest.
