In 2017, adult film star Mia Khalifa had taken to Twitter to wish the NFL QB birthday wishes, accompanied by a video of the pair playing indoor basketball at her home. In the short clip, fans can see Watson blocking Khalifa’s dunk attempt on the basketball hoop on top of him.

The clip went viral on social media as speculation grew around both entities and their being in a relationship.

But Khalifa was quick to dismiss those rumors in a conversation with TMZ. She considers themselves good friends and adds her love for Watson to be platonic. She adds that his visit to her home was just hospitality as they live nearby. They even ate a home-cooked meal during his visit.

Deshaun Watson has had his ups and downs

The former Texans QB was one of the most promising NFL prospects in his position and was considered the face of the franchise. While possessing four superstar talents in Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, JJ Watt, and Jadeveon Clowney, the franchise earned its contender status. The former No.12 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Watson, in his 4 seasons, recorded 14,539 passing yards and 104 TD passes.

But following their AFC South title win in 2019, the franchise has been on a downward spiral and losing some of its star players. The franchise underwent a roulette of new GMs, with Watson giving input to CEO Cal McNair on how to improve the team.

But the team has since lost all of its stars, and Watson has himself left the franchise for greener pastures.

While the new Browns QB will be looking forward to playing with his new teammates, Watson has other things on his mind as things stand. The 2022 NFL campaign will be a real test of faith in the Browns franchise and a test of his credentials in the new home.
