NFL free agent DeAndre Hopkins is currently hot property. After being released by Arizona Cardinals, the player has piqued the interest of many after visiting the New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans. However, two more franchises have jumped in to get the wide receiver’s signature, to bring a twist to the scene. The super bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, and Cleveland Browns are the latest additions in the saga.

Hopkins, known for his strategic thinking, is not simply looking for a lucrative contract, but for a winning opportunity as well. A recent tweet sheds light on Hopkins’ desires, picking the franchise with maximum chances to sign the player.

Among interested franchises, the Bills, Chiefs, and Browns have emerged as strong contenders, considering they offer a promising contract to Hopkins. The Titans and Patriots, however, still remain in the race, but these franchises have taken a downgrade in Hopkins’ priority list. A recent tweet by NFL’s official account provided an update by shedding some light on the scene.

The recent tweet by NFL Notifications’ official Twitter account stated, “If Bills, Chiefs or Browns offered money close to the Titans or Patriots, he would be signed today. He wants a combo of money + a chance to win. Hopkins isn’t “thrilled” to have Mac Jones or Tannehill throwing him passes in 2023, but he leans toward the patriots if those remain the only two options.

Additionally, a recent announcement from Hopkins on his retirement has gained headlines. Along with spilling the beans on his retirement, Hopkins also shared a few insights on his game.

The popular “The Pat McAfee Show” featured a recent thread from DeAndre Hopkins which revealed the details about WR’s retirement. Hopkins shared in his thread, “I’ll retire from football when I’m not a 1k-yard receiver. With that said, I was on pace for 1,400 yards last year~one significant injury in 11 years, I might be playing till I’m 37 the way I feel.

As per Hopkins, by the age of 37, he’ll call it off from the league. However, still, there are 6 glory-filled years for the WR, considering he’s 31 at present. Moreover, reacting to his tweet Pat McAfee said about Hopkins, “When defenses know that this dude is the guy to cover he is somehow figured out a way to catch balls all over the field is he a deep threat.” Clearly one of the reasons why franchises want Hopkins in their camp.
