4-time MVP Aaron Rodgers is currently at the center point of lots of speculation, as there is a dark cloud hanging over his head regarding his future in the NFL. Earlier, he announced on the Pat McAfee show that he will be spending some alone time in a dark room in Oregon. During his ‘darkness retreat’, he talked about finding inner peace and thinking about his future in the NFL. However, recently, he mentioned that he did not like the negativity surrounding his ‘darkness retreat’.
After coming out of the dark room, he first spoke with YouTuber Aubrey Marcus in his podcast show. In that podcast, he opened up about a lot, including his past and future. He also talked about the real reason he went into that dark room.

While talking to Marcus, Rodgers talked about all the misconceptions regarding his darkness retreat. “I think the thing that was so interesting to me was just how people so desperately wanted to either be part of this story and make it out to be that I was going in the dark to figure out… the only reason was to go in there and figure out if I’m gonna play or not. Number one, that’s not true. It never was true,“ Rodgers said to Marcus while taking a dig at the negative publicity.
Referring to the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers said, “All I mentioned about it when I mentioned it on the McAfee show is I’m gonna do a isolation retreat and I feel like afterwards I’ll be in a better place to make a decision about, you know, what I’m thinking about the future.“
Then, he absolutely slammed all the conspiracy theorists regarding his isolation plans. “People are like ‘oh well, he must be coming out after one day to do the McAfee show’. I’m like ‘shut the f**k up, stop with the bulls**t’,” Rodgers further said.

As per earlier reports, former Raiders QB Derek Carr was leaning toward New York Jets. He had a positive talk with the Jets’ management as well. However, the Jets were waiting for Rodgers to make a decision; hence, they did not sign Carr. On the other hand, the Saints took this opportunity and offered a 4-year contract to Carr and the QB agreed to the deal.

Safe to say, this deal could cost the Jets massively if Rodgers decides to retire from the NFL. If Rodgers decides to play, it is certain that the Jets will go all out for him. On the other hand, the Packers are also waiting for Rodgers to make a decision, as they are reportedly moved on from Rodgers and are open to trading. Now, the ball is in Rodgers’ court, as he will probably announce the world soon.
